MIGRAIN: Reading an image. Denotation: A picture of a famous rapper and his quote. Connotation: I can infer that he has been through tough times in his life due to the fingerprints presented which convey crime situations that may have occurred in his past life. It is shown several times which means that he had made repeatedly made a lot of mistakes in his life. Additionally the serious look on the rappers face connotes how the quote he is promoting is from how his experiences have affected him. Colour: The use of the colours black and white and how his face stands out in a dark background implying that the focus is on him and connotes power in his character. Furthermore on the right side, the background is faded and dark, where as the quote is white, showing how the use of contrast in colours conveyed the significance of the quote. Pose: His face is turned at a position where it makes it seem he is looking at the audience trying to make them listen to his quote. Fr

The way the wordplay is promoted conveys how it is an advertisement and is a key convention as it attracts customers to the fast food shop. 3) In your opinion, who is the target audience for this media text? A: The target audience for this specific media text is everyone. 4)  How would this audience access the text? E.g. where/when would they consume it? Using what device? A:They would access it through social media on their phones/laptops, on vehicles such as buses which promote big companies or in newspapers.  5) What values, ideologies and beliefs in society are reinforced or challenged in this media text? A: Reinforced the fact that fast food is good for you and is promoting the demographic to consume their food which challenges the fact that fast food makes you obese
