‘Shocking’ Lack Of Black Teachers In Bristol Schools

A BBC Documentary has found that out of the 1300 teachers in Brixton only 26 or 1.9pc are black. The article highlights how more needs to be done to encourage those of BAME origin to get into teaching so students can have role models  but also because Black Teachers were found to have been given stereotypical roles such as hosting Black History events - this appeared in a study released by the National Union of Teachers.

This is an example of hard news as it does show the continuing narrative of how those of BAME origin need to represented more in industries especially schools where students need role models. This is an example of personal identity as parents would want their children to have role models but also parents realising of how they were represented in schools. This does fit with the values and ideologies of the website as it wants to represent things affecting the black community and issues that they face.
