This article is about a sports tennis star called Venus Williams who has started her own business. This has helped her endeavour on the court. The 38-year-old, has 49 WTA titles and is a seven-time Grand Slam singles winner. But having started lifestyle brand EleVen in 2007, she recently admitted that her proclivity for entrepreneurship had more benefits than she saw coming. She said “It helped me appreciate [my tennis] because it doesn’t matter what business you start, you start at the bottom and at tennis at least I’m at the top and I can hopefully stay here”.
This is an example of Soft news because it is to do with sports and business.

This type of article will appeal to an audience because it is to do with sports and a famous sports star starting her own business. People who are fans of her will want to see how she is doing in her business and it might inspire them to do a similar thing in the future for themselves.

This article does reflect the ideologies and beliefs because they are a type of newspaper who celebrate the success of their culture and black people and they report on that and want to celebrate their success and make people aware of it such as famous sports stars.
